How is bringing in a light a practical solution? Maya LT offers a texture baker yet it can't bake normal maps correctly? The light method still creates a small artifact, could you share these settings/scene setup please? So its done a fairly nice "bake" but as expected, its bent the normals and there is a constant hard line coming through You can see the classic indent, for the life of me I haven't been able to get a baking cage to do anything using about 6 different methods, they simply don't seem to work at all, but the default envelope settings (yep tried the rest of them) should be doing the job anyway right? So with the traditional method, i've broken all 4 faces apart and set them to hard edge. Take this simple box shell with the bottom faces removed to focus on baking 4 edges. I've watched the only 4 tutorials for general and advanced baking settings within turtle and understand how they work however I just cannot get a clean bake, did I do a classic and just not tick a box or is there a new way to bake.
